General Questions

What is RP Social?

RP Social is a community for roleplayers, writers, creators, fandom enthusiasts, and anyone looking to make friends and connect through shared interests.

Do I need to be a roleplayer to join?

Not at all! While roleplaying is a major focus of the community, everyone is welcome to participate in discussions, fandom conversations, creative projects, and community events.

Is RP Social LGBTQ+ friendly?

Yes. RP Social welcomes members of all backgrounds, identities, and experience levels. We expect members to treat one another with respect.

Why a forum? Why not just use Discord?

Discord is great for real time conversations, but discussions often move quickly and can be difficult to find later. Forums make it easier to organize conversations, discover roleplay partners, share resources, and revisit older discussions without them getting buried in a fast moving chat.

RP Social is designed to be a lasting community where topics, roleplay searches, guides, and creative projects remain easy to find and participate in over time.

Why should I use RP Social instead of another roleplay site?

There are many great roleplay communities out there, and we're not trying to replace them.

RP Social aims to provide a welcoming community focused space that combines roleplaying, fandom discussion, creativity, and social interaction in one place. Whether you're looking for roleplay partners, writing friends, fandom conversations, or simply a place to hang out you're welcome here.

We're focused on creating an inclusive environment where members can connect, share ideas, and build lasting friendships alongside their roleplay experiences.


Roleplay Questions

How do I find roleplay partners?

Visit the RP Search and Plotting sections of the forum to advertise your interests and connect with other writers.

Can I roleplay any fandom or original setting?

Generally yes provided the content follows our community rules and guidelines.

What if a roleplay isn't working out?

Communicate respectfully with your writing partner. If you decide to leave a roleplay, please be courteous and let the other participant know.


Reporting Issues

How do I report a post?

Use the Report feature located on the post, or contact a member of the staff team.

What should I do if someone is harassing me?

Do not engage further. Save any relevant messages and contact the staff team so we can investigate.

How do I report bugs or technical issues?

Create a topic in the Help & Support board and provide as much information as possible, including screenshots if available.
